God, I wish I knew what his angle and purpose was! I expect that some clarity will emerge, in time.

Excellent suggestions all. The main problem at the moment is, of course, that I am generally lacking the time to do much more than keep poor old Lambone ticking over at the bar. Still, that does seem to suit him, so he can stay there for a while until I work out how to shoehorn him back into the main action. Such is the fate of peripheral characters…

I agree with Drake. You’ve got me feeling sorry for Lambone; no one should be a peripheral character in their own life.

Of course you have to have the time to think through Lambone’s plot line, but as August said, the beauty of this exercise is no one is peripheral.
