Coffee Moonlight
Hours later, after countless coffee and snacks served. The golden iris receding back to a god’s slumber, selfishly taking back its life giving rays into the abyss. Her eyelids falling like faulty curtains, she could not help but think of her lushes’ bed that awaited her. But for now, there she was, working morning shifts day in and day out. And there he was.
He pressed his back against the doorframes to push it open as it chimed her untimely entrance, his hands preoccupied with what seemed to be dinner. He sat on the oak counter and bend down to kiss her forehead. He handed her an assortment of furry key chains and held her hands tight, Caitlyn grinned as she pushed her glasses up. She blows him a kiss as she leaves.
This was the highlight of his day; this was the highlight of her night.
