This is sadly beautiful. Shows how humans seek to make connections to others despite never meeting face-to-face, and still feel loss when they go.

I know the feeling, too. Nicely written with a good sense of flow. The only thing I would change is the 2nd use of “digital lands”, but that’s just me.

Yes, indeed. I wrote this after coming across an abandoned Facebook account (from a mutual friend). The owner had passed away and people were offering their condolences on his last status. I did not know who he was, but I truly felt sorry.

Anyway, thank you for your kind comments. I only recently started writing and your words are really encouraging. Yup, “lands” does seem to break the flow in that stanza. I will take note in the future. Have a happy new year.
