Love it, from the confrontation with the cashier at the start, to the ominous last line. It’s really very grimy and evocative, with great attention to detail – the brief ecounter with the poor guy in the alcove says it all really. Right on target in terms of the mood, and nicely slots into the existing storyline.

Intriguing. At first I was thinking a drug dealer, perhaps an opium den, but the ending made it seem like something else.
