Suitably gritty and downbeat. I really like Fabrizio’s dissociation at the beginning – nicely illustrative of his drug-addled mental state. And good period details – the lebensraum and the desperation of having to look for allies in the other employee lounge.
Very dark, and I like the moralistic overtone in the middle, how he is now reaping what he has sown by bullying the staff for so long. It feels consistent with movie-making of the time when the Noir genre was at its prime.
