It would be a very cool ending to an action or sci-fi movie. Cool stuff. A few grammar missteps, but generally read well and had a haunting quality to it.

I love the slow reveal here, and the grimness of the climax.

It does have a very ominous, end-of-the-road feel to it: a haunting quality, as THX says. The meaning is a bit opaque, but the feeling comes through strongly enough.
