Dark and moody. I like the way you’ve set the scene with a lot of tiny little details, allowing the reader to paint inbetween.

If at any point this series seems to be lacking detail, it’s because this is a write-up of the adventures that our gang have embarked upon in a role-playing game I am a part of, and I want to avoid taking too many liberties with the setting, or other people’s characters.

If by happenstance this leads people to enjoy the story more, then it was entirely my idea and not just some happy byproduct of me trying not to piss off people who know at least vaguely where I live.
