That was bizarre. I’ve read bits and pieces, so I think I followed. It takes a bit to sink in, but in the end it worked nicely with a solid 2001: A Space Odyssey sort of feeling to it.

Thanks THX – I activated the Infinite Improbability Drive to escape the missiles in Last Gasp; well, if you can’t get away with a good old deus ex machina in a sci-fi story, then where can you get away with it?
