The Job
“All right.”
“Yes.”
“I’ll do it to help the family out.”
“No, I don’t feel guilty.”
“I’ll look for a job right now.”
Damn it. Now I have to go find a job, and support my mother. I hope dad gets better soon. Alright, to the Internet! I guess I have to get a corporate job, minimum wage is too low. Maybe I can take my dads old job. Let me call the office.
“Hello?”
“Hello, this is Johnathan Cooper, I was wondering if your company was hiring?”
“You must be David’s son. I’m so sorry for what happened to your dad.”
“Yeah, it’s kind of sad, is his old position availible?”
“Yes, it is, would you like an to be interviewed for that position?”
“Yes, as soon as possible, please.”
“Ted has an opening at 2:30 tomorrow, is that good?”
“Yes, that’s fine, thank you. Goodbye.”
“Bye.”
I have to go get a tie.
