Maggie wasn’t satisfied with her new imaginary friend, Stupid Pete. He wasn’t anywhere near as fun and adventurous as Evil Kyle was. Playing with him only made her want Evil Kyle back even more.

They were playing Hide and Seek one day and Maggie decided to hide out in the garden and visit her friend, Dirt Face. She hid behind a tree that grew close to the strange face protruding from the dirt.

“Hello again, Maggie,” Dirt Face said, “Playing Hide and Seek again I see. You must have a new imaginary friend.”

“Yup,” Maggie said, “and he is soooo stupid! He’ll probably take forever to find me out here.”

Dirt Face opened his mouth to say something else, but before he could Evil Kyles voice said, “Help me, Maggie!”

The face shut his mouth so quickly that his teeth clicked.

“What was that?” Maggie asked suspiciously.

“Nothing,” Dirt Face said.

“That sounded like Evil Kyle’s voice coming from your mouth.”

“Really?” Dirt Face said, “Lean closer and see if you hear it again.”

Maggie leaned forward.
