Juniper

Singly, Juniper skipped and twirled down the hallway. She sang, “You can’t catch me while I’m ballerina-ing!”
Sam, out of breath from chasing this ballerina up the stairs and all over her room, collapsed against the wall, “June, I’m exhausted. Could you be statue ballerina for a while?”
Juniper looked at Sam, her big eyes confused, “If you can’t dance, what’s the point of being a ballerina?”
Sam breathed again, “Yeah, I… guess you’re… right.”
But Juniper stood in front of Sam and twirled around slowly, again and again. Her tutu shimmered as an extension of her young soul.
Juni bowed to Sam and reached to her, “May I have this dance?”
In that moment, Sam saw Juniper glow with this incredible yellow light behind her. Something important was inside of her.
“How could I deny a princess like yourself a dance?” Sam said, attempting to pull herself up.
“I’m not a princess, silly! I’m a ballerina! You can be a princess though!”
Sam danced with Juniper, a princess and a ballerina. They were both happy this way.
