Very humorous, though darkly so. Couldn’t help but get an extra giggle since I know exactly the book you are referencing with the monster at the end of the book. It was a bit confusing, but I got it on the second read through.

Man, as much as I’d like to say the switch from past to present was intentional, it was not. This was a bit half-baked, if I’m honest, and more an exercise in getting the line about the monster at the end of the book out of my head.

It might wind up being more than that, but for now I’ll just let it be.
