Bate’s delivery deadpan delivery lends a certain piquancy to his comic one-liners; easy to see that he, at least, believes that he is hilarious.
I like the way that Bates has so smoothly integrated himself into the rebel fraternity. Not sure how long that will last, though, as that Ishikawa is no fool…
