I am not getting updates again, not that would have helped with the past year of tardiness but still. A more violent end than I had imagined but certainly makes sense in context.

I have a hypothesis about this, actually. I think you only get updates if the author wrote the story in one go without saving a draft.

Can anyone confirm this?

@Robert: Don’t think of this as an end, except perhaps to the somewhat idyllic times that Katya experienced during her stay at the collective. In the larger world, she is still a person of interest to a number of parties and it was inevitable that someone somewhere should find her sometime.
