Lady Creeth stood in the middle of the room, a beautiful emerald silk gown hung off of her. Her blonde hair was tied in a tight knot on the back of her head, and a belt of rubies was fastened around her waist. It was the pendant that the Lady wore around her neck that caught Amira’s attention. The Tear of Eldra, was a tear shaped gem that was as black as a moonless sky, and held in a cage of silver wire. It was hung from a delicate silver chain around the Lady’s neck. There was no other jewel like it in all the known world, and that made it prized by all. She quickly started to form a plan to part the gem from Lady Creeth, when the servant, a young red headed girl, undid the clasp and placed it in an ornate box on the dresser.
