Orphans preferred, seems an unlikely line to appear on a recruitment bill, but it made me laugh in any case.

I thought ‘Orphans preferred’ was perfect and exactly the sort of thing you’d expect in such dire circumstances. Fun little read.

The “orphans preferred” line was inspired by a famous Pony Express ad that may have been a hoax, but given the circumstances in-story they’d probably want orphans.
