I catch your drift, though this seems a little convoluted and densely written – some pruning might enhance it.

This feels like an intense concentration of thought. Ficly’s limitations can often drive us to include far more than a single installment can effectively hold. It’s a bit difficult to discern what is happening, but that does not diminish the impressive word choices , nor the overall sense of story.

I agree that it is ‘dense’. I found myself digging for the meaning in the first half of this ..chunk of words.. thicker and tougher to chew through than overcooked dumplings. When I finally decided you were writing about the control exerted upon you by the muses who urge you to write the whole long day and never release you. I am not sure if the protagonist is married, divorced, or engaged, however the real bride or groom here is the writing.
