I like the, almost, column format that makes you go back to take a second look at the structure.

The structure is borrowed somewhat from that of a triolet.

I knew it was pulling at something familiar, but couldn’t quite place it.

Perhaps I need to write a triolet of my own just to cement it in my head :P

I really enjoyed this. For some reason it left me speechless for a moment, and just like Imdolien, I found myself looking back several times at the structure of everything. I don’t know what else to say but wow.

I picture a fighter, but the ‘change’ makes me think of a werewolf or something.

At first, the mental image I put together, depicted some sort of war or battle, but taking another look, It almost seems to be about a separation, and the pain that is being experienced as this person puts a wall around their heart. I am probably over thinking this waaay to much. I’ll stop talking now.
