Words.

They say actions speak louder than words.

But what do they speak for?

Do they speak for the person
the perpetrator
actor
the executioner?
Or do they speak for the situation
The toxic environment
influencing the behaviors
tendencies
occurrences;
Accentuating the choices that must be made
even when it may not seem like a “choice” at all.

Can it not be said that,
under different circumstances,
The actor would not behave differently,
make separate choices,
change their tendencies?
Actions speak for the situation.

Though it must be said that we all attain free will.
We make our own decisions,
and regardless of influence
persuasion
compensation
or reward,
It is still ultimately a person making their own behavioral decision.
It is not our abilities that define us, but our choices.
Actions speak for the person.

Perhaps we should all just stick to words.
