This was so vivid. I found myself living through the eyes of this beautiful bird. The words constructed such a clear detailed scene in my mind that I could feel the wind flowing through my hair.

Until I realized I had left my ceiling fan on… :P

That was very sad. I wound up imagining the bird as a bit of a ronin, just how I saw it, I suppose. Nicely told and very evocative.
