On The Now pt 9

I’m at the corner of the tower now. Around it I hear Jacob climbing at one mph faster than myself. He’s ahead now. The copters are finally arrived, yet hesitant to shoot. The monetary value of the tower is too precious a testament to risk harming. I agree, but for the wrong reasons. The value we attribute to “value” is insulting. Our lives fill with things and their money sign dollar value. A small, worthless bill is what we chose as currency. And you might think, if you had traveled from the alien planet Tethys, “But that couldn’t mean that a species would choose to let this bill dominate them!” And you, the alien, so foreign and naïve, would prove yourself absolutely wrong. As unfortunate as it could possibly be, you would be wrong.
