Odd Beauty (small writing about myself)

I find the beauty in myself in the oddest ways like as I lay completely still in the bathtub, the water just barely ripples over my skin and it’s quiet. I am left all alone and it’s just my body there. I gently cup my hands over my wide hips and I lay there, feeling oddly beautiful, entranced by how the water blankets over my skin, like a shield, protecting me from all things, with in and outside of me.
I don’t believe I will ever truly understand why these odd things lead me to find beauty, but I do enjoy those days when they occur.
