Lovely ode to someone gone. Last stanza starts with a duplicate use of ‘war’. I think the second one is supposed to be was? Very effective flow and idea in this one.
Eras of my life – and the people in them – are connected to music, sometimes in ways that make the music difficult to revisit. Reading an account such as this reminds me of the experience. I especially appreciate how the two “voices” ultimately coincide at the end, echoing the line from the beginning. Beautiful.
This brought a year to my eye. Quite Lovely! Music is Poetry- with or without words. You have captures this quite well here. This particular piece hit me quite deeply. Music does attach itself to memories- often to our dismay posted less than a minute ago.
