I was inspired by the musical, “book of Mormon”. There is a song called " freaky Mormon hell dream" that describes a similar situation.
When I was picturing this scene I deliberately left out the mom. You can make of that what you wish but in my picture the singularity of the parental figure has a crucial effect on the strength of the child’s reaction.
Of course I could also just be making stuff up to justify my decisions. It’s a toss up at this point.
Cute story and one I can relate to. Kids can have all kinds of crazy dreams and sometimes struggle to tell real from dream. Nicely told from the standpoint of the parent—I could almost feel his relief at the cause of his daughter’s distress.
