This is Lovely! I was sent back to a time in my life that this triggered, while reading it. What a wonderful, relatable piece. You may want to add the word “do” to the first line of the last paragraph after “would” ;)

Wow this is really poetic. I love your style. “We would meet and be met by a multitude of characters” mmm rhythm and alliteration and yum!

The last two paragraphs really hit me hard. So beautiful and sad.

I’d change ‘the past me which’ to ‘the past me who’, other than that this is perfect.
