Very intense. The main character is is to relate to, you can almost feel his anguish over the decision he has to make as well as over his loss.

Thanks for the comment, Saint Chuck! I’ve had this story in my head for months… ever since I purchased a book of writing prompts. For some reason I haven’t put it down until today. Nothing like a little encouragement — I really appreciate it! This is a pretty cool website… I’m hoping that people eventually start writing pre/sequels to my stuff. Were you a part of ficlets or whatever the old site was?

Oh man, that was a perfect little ditty. It was sad, but hopeful, but despairing at the same time. I really enjoyed it.
