Out in the Clouds
Out there in the sky, with the clouds that pass by,
we see our hero dance through the air.
In his plane, its a bet, he’ll shock us all yet,
with each feat and each death defying dare.
I watch with awe, with every pitch, roll and yaw
as he preforms his tricks with ease.
He swoops down low, like a carrion crow,
but still the crowd remains hard to please.
He climbs up high, does a nose dive,
pulls his plane up from the brink of disaster.
Still the crowd sits and yawns, in the bleachers and lawns,
till a voice cries out, “Faster, faster!”
He wipes the sweat from his eyes, lets out a sigh,
and pushes his bird till it shrieks.
The cherry red tin and his strong, square chin,
start to vibrate as his speed peaks.
With maniacal laughter, he pushes it faster,
till the world that surrounds him is a blur.
And he chews on the clouds while amazing the crowds,
this amazing avian connoisseur .
