A New Beginning
I woke up feeling like I was about to crash. My head hurt, my stomach hurt, and the underside of my left knee hurt. I’m still not sure why, but it did. I threw the old pink Barbie sheets off of me and pushed myself into a sitting position. Those two simple things took a good ten minutes and several moans of pain. It might’ve helped if I had opened my eyes but even with the lids protecting my sensitive purple irises I could see that it was bright outside. Yesterday had been a crappy day and I didn’t want to relive it. It’d be nice to fall asleep, again. If I’d have had a choice, I would’ve fallen asleep and stayed like that for, say, the rest of my life.
However, people didn’t often ask my opinion on decisions that affected me.
“Rise and shine, Beautiful! I want the yelling part over in the morning when you don’t have a lot of energy to do the yelling!” I groaned and fell back. I was planning on ignoring the person. Until I felt whoever it was slap me!
“Ow!” I opened my eyes. My bed was gone! So was Barbie!
