cheesecake
he swallowed the final morsel of cheesecake
painstakingly licked his fork clean
his long slender fingers
sent his fork careening towards the table
and
dabbed his mouth dry
with a pearly white napkin
he positioned it on the table beside his onyx black plate
his hands arranged themselves into a church and steeple
those indigo eyes
scrutinizing my anxious countenance
waiting for me to make the initial move
he laughed
a towering drawn-out cackle
“*no*” he said
he walked off
what a waste of cheesecake
