mental illness? delusions of grandeur? day dream? or an all powerful superhero with bad fashion sense?

This…was EPIC. And then I read the punch line. And you know what? It’s still every bit as EPIC. The punch line (or the prestige, if you will), is freakin’ awesome. It just sits there, right at the end, like an ambush. It’s as close to perfection in a twist-type ending (ideally suited in a tale told in a manner such as this) as I’ve seen. I am duly and truly impressed.

My only regret is that I didn’t make the deadline for the challenge! Thx for your appreciation!
