the plot is moving a little slow but good

Neat back and forth. I like that the voice sounds genuinely concerned and protective, even though it seems like they aren’t all that nice. A good job of balancing plot, your protagonist’s view, and the internal view of this other character or characters.

I can’t help but feel a slight twinge between my own shoulderblades… I’m likin’ this, I’ve to say.
