Great final line. And the German—although I don’t know what it says—was incorporated very nicely, which went along with the casuality of the friends.

I didn’t understand all of the German, but I could tell it wasn’t anything good. A nice vignette with a point to make, and it succeeded nicely. Well done.

The thing I like about this is that while football (and sport in general) is a great thing some people do tend to become a bit too patriotic and nationalist about it. Which, while the character wasn’t doing it seriously the possible effects of it were shown well.
