You know as soon as there is a Mars mission, it will be interesting to see what astrologers do with the astronauts horoscopes.
It’s a little side thing about space travel I’ve never seen anyone write about.

That sounds very interesting. I wonder what sort of person the Mars astrologer will be? One would assume that he would be a scientific type, since he’s on an alien planet, so I would be very interested in hearing some of his predictions. Great sequel potential!

This is a worthy story in its own right (even though Douglas Adams did it better) but you didn’t stick to the challenge description, so it’s not really a contender.
