Drunks are No Fun
Crap… I looked at the time. Was it that late already?!
“Hey… uh, I have to go. I’ll see you in school tomorrow. Sorry. Bye” I rushed in a quiet, hurried voice. I clicked off my phone and set it down on my bed just before my mother waltzed into my room.
She smelled of too much alcohol and smoke. She staggered towards me and plopped onto the foot of my bed. I subtly shifted away from her because she reeked. She leaned over towards me and just looked at me.
“Hi Annieee.” She slurred. “You look… gorgeousss.”
I looked at her with thoughts of disdain in my mind. She cackled then, as if what she had just said was the funniest thing in the whole world. I stood up and pulled her to her feet.
“Come on. You need to go to bed.” I said, dragging her down the hall to her room. I laid her face down on her bed and began taking her shoes off for her.
“Don’t touch me bitch!” She screeched, jabbing her foot towards me. She rolled over.
“You need to stay on your stomach in case you’re sick.” I whispered shakily.
