Man, this came SO close to winning. I liked the way it played out and the way the young man was written.

I won’t say that winning isn’t cool – but I will say that having been inspired to write the story, I consider _that _spark as the prize that matters. Every time I write, I get a little bit better – and while I can certainly jump-start my own head, it’s nice to get some outside juice too. Thank you for your interesting challenge. :)

(And yeah, I liked the young man’s voice too.)

Nothing beats a nice strong beginning, middle and end. Nicely done. Now I’m going to have to go check out what did win…
