I like the way you have used" the" bard’s nominal figure Shylock.

I love this, Joe! The mournful tone throughout juxtaposed with the humorous images (i.e., “no chickens from cannons or rubber band legs”) works really well here.

Frankly, I don’t know what to make of this. It’s beautiful, heartfelt, but not in the usual vein of love poems. It’s quirky and peculiar, but I think that’s the bizarre beauty of it, really. Well, well done.

I, for one, am very impressed. For a poem with Vaudeville-esq imagery, you certainly pack an emotional punch. Heartfelt and well done.

Although I think “rubber band legs” might be a bit cliche, the hitchcock silhouette and virgin shylock both floored me. Excellent work.

Nice, it reads in a straightforward manner with a hint of bitterness on the side. It’s something that I’d need to read twice over but I would never mind it. :]
