Damn, you hit that deep and poignant nail on the head. Like for seriously. I love it when people write series’, BUT to some extant I think truely perfect ficlet(ly) happens in one installment. You could have written a novel around this and it couldn’t convey in 300 pages what you have said in this one perfect little installment. One billion pencils.

i like this. and i totally agree with all that was said above. (i know this is cheating, but why repeat them??)

Oy…just so great I can’t really express how much I like it. There’s just enough information to really draw me in, but it omits enough to be fantastically intriguing. Great idea and execution.

Lovely and tragic, telling a lot without going into narrative or plot exposition, just her heartfelt words. Not sure about the last lines though, but that may just be me.

awe! it makes me almost want to shed a tear. this is so perfect. its informative of the situation but it is still loaded with emotion.

The last line felt a little unnecessary, but I found it compelling how you captured the emotion of a loved one gone and far away in a science fiction story.

You know I am one of those people that get caught up in the “time dilating not linear- what?”… but after I quit trying to decipher, started over and read it from beginning to end, I said, “Oh, wow.” I actually nodded in an “impressed” way. ;) Great job!

this story shudders the heart and wrings out the soul. if you keep this up im gonna start stalking you.

It’s like a mix of sci-fi, reality, and romance! I agree with Chaka that it’s the stand-alones that really work the best, and this one shows it.

THX: Ya, the last line was a conundrum for me. I wanted to show that the ‘scientists’ were WRONG. That she survived the trip. But she ended up in the WRONG TIME, and she collapsed the ‘anomaly’, but even then she remained hopeful?
