I’m with Lock. 5/5ing stories just because they have your name in them? Come on guys. You’re writing fan-fiction about each other and then calling it good.

Kudos to the naysayers for having the cajones to not go with the crowd. Featured or not in the story (and for once flattered by the portrayal and its relative accuracy), I salute you for speaking your minds.

There are some other authors here that have written AWESOME .. like really awesome stories that deserve attention.

For me, this story was more about a community building exercise, more than anything.

I also don’t want to ruffle any feathers or hurt any feelings, but isn’t it already the point of ficly to be a community? Shouldn’t we embrace all ficly members, new and old alike, instead of singling out one group and requiring admission? Maybe I’m just a utopian dreamer at heart, but making your own members-only club seems to be to be a(accidental, I’m sure) way of alienating people and making them feel left out, not drawing them into closer community. Aren’t we all members of the League of Ficly? Isn’t that enough?

That’s just my two cents.

Come on, bluefish, don’t be a spoilsport. It’s so much easier to do raids if you join a clan, and it’s pretty much impossible to get an epic mount without one. Wait… am I missing something here?

The point of LOA is to read rate and comment.. Alot of people just like to write. They don’t comment or rate other peoples things, and if they do it’s very very minimal.. A few LOA’s like to havet the ratio of 10/1—ten comments per one story they write… this just helps us to remember that its just as important to read, rate and comment at it is to write and express ourselves.
