draw straws? ok, but I get to hold the straws. and those software engineers better not make any long term plans if they messed up this badly. I certainly am not going to let them make a computer program to “scientifically choose” who stays and who get to go into the vats. Probably end up with a bunch of software programmers and telephone sanitizers.

Yeah, I wouldn’t have gone the cloud isn’t there root. I mean, they did spectrometry to detect the molecules and compared it against the known signature of the star. So, either 1) The gas went somewhere, or 2) the instruments read wrong… or maybe 3) the star changed composition.

I think I’ll try to answer one of these questions in the next sequel I write.
