Eg. Her decision was not surprising. I knew natural selection had taken its course, and I was already on my way to being forgotten. But in the back of my mind, I still had some hope; hope for the unspoken trust we once shared. I know, I know. That’s ridiculous. She’s changed, even though she won’t admit it, and there’s nothing I can do about it. She won’t break any promise, or hurt any feelings, but of course, I don’t count. I’m not as important anymore. On the other hand, she’ll do anything for him, and he knows it. He takes advantage of her, they all do. But I’m the culprit. I’m the one to blame for everything that’s happened. The only thing worth smiling about in this situation is knowing that, once again, I’m right. She’ll realize that one day.
