This is meant to come after a rather long series I did on ficlets back in ancient history with NightMaiden (http://ficlets.ficly.com/stories/39164). The only bit I’m carrying over from that particular story is the character of Cricket, a rather charismatic, almost goofy, but strong and loyal Manhattanite just recently back from quite the adventure with his friend Xiaoli in China.
