A Worldwide Phenomena
I was grounded when it happened.
“Student Sleep Syndrome,” they called it.
Kids from all across the country were affected.
Students, not all, but most, were falling asleep at random times during school.
It was something that scientists had never seen before.
What could cause it? Why would it happen?
I myself had not been affected by this strange epidemic, and was curious myself.
It went on for about a week. Still, no one understood.
I got my phone back on Friday. I turned it on and let it ring for a few minutes.
I read the messages on it and the one that occurred the most was from my best friend Tom:
“Today at school, pretend to fall asleep at XX:XX o’clock.”
Dammit, I missed out on all the fun.
