I Must Part Ways With You

Below the wall, Arthur stood with his head hanging down at the ground. Simeon was there as well, and she approached them.

“When do we fight?” she asked casually.

Arthur raised his head with out looking at her. “Simeon, it appears you will not have to part bitter ways with me after all, for I must now part ways with you.”

Simeon looked away, unable to make himself feel ashamed of their many disagreements, hard as he tried.

Looking from Simeon to Arthur as he left them, she wondered what was happening. Simeon glanced at the small window, covered with a board that was hinged above it. The only place you could see out if you were not on top of the wall. Rushing to open it and look out, her eyes widened at the sight of the army that had gathered beyond it. She glanced at Simeon, who was now lost in his own mind, before she went after Arthur.
