He was hungry. He was ravenous. He was— Lost? Derek had just been looking for something delicious to stuff down his face in this godforsaken park when— BAM! He didn’t know where he was. One minute she was right in front of him, tugging gently on his hand, kindly ignoring the dirt underneath his fingernails that was gradually getting the sleeve of her Chanel top smudged, and the next, gone .
Derek was never completely alone, and was seldom left to his own devices around lunchtime. As he wandered through what seemed like thick undergrowth,he decided to solve his most pressing problem.“What to eat?”He pondered aloud.“If she were here, it would probably be something healthy,something—” he shuddered.“Green.”He looked around with abandon at what he had to work with, but stopped as his eyes landed the most magnificent feast he had ever seen. He tore through it like a wild animal,not seeing his mother appear before him.“Oh, Derek! How many times have I told you not to eat mud! You are a little boy, not a pig!”
