Infatuation is Worth Dying For
Saving her breath, Layla started away from the dweeb standing in front of her locker.
The past few months, Seth had been following her and she had tried her hardest to ignore him, hoping he’d take a hint.
But he hadn’t.
He stopped her, the first real time that he had really spoken to her.
“Layla, you’re beautiful, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Please, don’t freak out, just.. hear me out.”
A little frightened, she backed away, and harshly declined, “Seth, I don’t like you! I don’t want anything to do with you. You scare me, okay?” When she attempted to walk passed him he blocked her again, a few tears slipping down his greasy face.
“Well, if you don’t love me..” He pulled a gun out of his baggy sweatshirt, “there is no reason for me to live.”
Layla gasped and fear shot through her, “Seth, don’t do anything stupid.”
Seth just smiled and said, “You’re something worth dying for.”
He cocked the gun, shot Layla and then turned the gun to himself, cocked it again and fired.
