Great ending and another nice job, like in the preceding one, of having just those little touches of humor in the serious story.

“The best laid schemes of mice and men”… sometimes turn out quite nicely. I hate to admit it, but I squirmed ever so slightly when I saw somebody else in on the action (I like the idea of spontaneous collaboration, but there’s been rockiness in the past)… however, that uneasiness almost instantly dissappated as I read. It was quite the pleasant surprise, I’m frankly very, very glad you decided to just jump in!

(I liked the lemon bit, too, loosened the piece up just the right way)
