Lilac Lilac
Lilac, lilac, on the floor
Tell me why you’re sad
Your petals wilt, your roots are dry
How can I make you glad
One dead flower on the plant
An ugly sight to see
You’re rubbing off on others too
You ruin their beauty
The roses, how they used to be
The nicest of them all
Are bragging of their beauty
Yes, they’ve taken quite a fall
The dragonsnaps won’t snap today
Small Daisy lost her touch
The weeping willow cried again
Lilac, you matter much
The apple tree tries to stay strong
It’s tougher than the rest
The most is grows is flower buds
And that is at its best
The ones who grow beneath the shade
Depend upon this tree
But they shall die if you, Lilac,
Will not just be happy
