Just Another Lost Poem
It’s raining
You look up at the sky
And wait and wonder for the reason why
It’s grey, its damp,
You look for a color
And find you can’t see a single shade
You wander about meaninglessly
The rain continues to pour down endlessly
Water runs through your streets timelessly
And yet its still not enough to drown
Your windows are spotted
Your wood, look, its rotted
Your bike frame is rusted
Your mind can’t be trusted
The water is seeping
With no sign of draining
You’re stuck in a prison of your own creating
Don’t you think it’s finally time
To stop hiding away in the corners of your mind?
You’re afraid of yourself
You’re lonely because of isolation
The water will stop
For once, you’ll stand unashamed
Perhaps then you’ll see the sunshine, even through the rain
