Nice job sticking with the moment and getting a fair amount out of it. I liked the possibilities of that ending too.

but the problem.. is almost solved.. no? coffeemaker replaced? paper jam ended? peace restored? no? oh well..

I have a sense that fixing the paper jam was not the correct response, and yet, I cannot understand what would be wrong with it. I’m excited for the sequel.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I’m remembering a story about a perfect place that has always been perfect, until one person shows up. That person is well-intentioned and not doing anything particularly wrong, but like a curse, his very presence ruins everything around him. The conclusion is, this world was not made for him. He doesn’t belong. Even if he were to find another world where he does, it’s too late. He already wrecked this one.

Maybe I made that up, I don’t know. Maybe I’m just remembering a Visa commercial and extrapolating details from a 30-second ad on TV. My mind is funny that way.
