She had been pacing for hours until he finally called back. “Hello” Stacey said.

“Hey, Stac, you called right?” Shawn asked.

“Yeah, I did! I just wanted to tell you something really important,” she began to stutter, but continued “well, actually its not that important but it is to me! a-and hopefully will be to you!”

He hadn’t answered but when she finally stopped talking he said “I’m not sure I understand where this is going, but go ahead!”

She took a deep breath, but still she hesitated.

“Hello?” Shawn said, making sure she was still there.

“Yeah, sorry! I’m just getting my thoughts together.”

“Well can you do it fast, because I have to go help my brother with something!”

“I’m trying,” she said, she takes another deep breath and begins
“Okay well, I kinda REALLY like you – probably more than I’ve ever liked anyone, ever!”

Silence

“Shawn?” she said, looking at her phone only to see that they had been disconnected.

The question is, did he or did he not hear her confession?
